We are a small company that originated in the municipality of Chichicastenango, Maya Quiché region in the Altiplano of Guatemala. Dedicated to the elaboration of typical products of the region, specifically the textile industry.

The brand was founded in 1994 by Juan Jose Ventura, a craftsman who follows the family tradition dedicated entirely to the design and production of handicrafts that have traveled the world over the years.

Deco Art is the third generation and its activity is primarily to rescue the tradition by generating sources of work for more than 20 families, achieving well-being and growth in the community.

Guatemalan handcrafts are currently working four generations of fabrics that have had to adapt as a result of factors such as high raw material costs, increasingly scarce labor, trends and customer demands.

The ancestral techniques in foot and waist looms are increasingly expensive because older women are the ones who make them, the second generation are European fabrics such as the Croshet, rococo point, cross stitch and hand embroidery they have liked a lot, However, the manufacturing time makes them limited access, the third generation to which we belong, we were able to be more competitive using some sewing machines, elaborating semi manual embroidery with the characteristic colors of our Quiché people.
